SOUL MATES WIN COMIC RELIEF DOES GLEE CLUB 2011
Congratulations to Soul Mates who won Comic Relief Does Glee Club on BBC1 on 18th March. Soul Mates are all Step Up students. See the Achievements page for a group photo.
STEP UP GLEE CHOIRS
Step Up Glee Choirs are to start on Monday 19th September in Blackheath.
Following the recent success of Soul Mates in Comic Relief does Glee
Club, Step Up will be starting its Glee Choirs at Sunfields Church, Old Dover
Road, SE3 from Monday 19th
September.
There will be 3 Choirs: Junior
(Primary School Age), Senior
(Secondary School age) and Elite
(Any age). No audition is required for the Junior and Senior Choirs but the
Elite Choir is audition only (Note: in order to audition for the Elite Choir you will have to have signed up to one of the Junior or Senior Choirs). All groups will learn to sing in parts and have their numbers
choreographed for concerts and competitions. There will be many solo opportunities.

RIMU PRIMARY MUSIC ACADEMY
RIMU Primary Music Academy is a proposal from Nathalie Richardson and Lorna Mullard for a new primary school (Reception to Year 6) with music at its heart to be opened in the Lewisham/Greenwich area of South East London.

Gala Rehearsal: Sunday 25th March from 1-6pm at Mick Jagger centre.
UK Unsigned - heats for the UK Unsigned competition will take place this term. Dates TBC.
West End Production - Visit.
Every term we go and see a West End show. This will take place after half term and I will confirm the date and show ASAP.

Step Up now offers classes in Ballet at the Sydenham High Branch. Ballet starts at 1.15pm. Classes are £66 for 10 weeks. The term dates are the same as the main Step Up Schools. Students under take exams with the IDTA.
Private Ballet and Tap classes:
Private tuition is also available in Ballet and Tap. Please contact the office for more details
The principal, Nathalie Richardson, teaches private singing and piano tuition. Exams are taken in both subjects as well as GCSE Music and Associated Board for Theory Grades 1-8. You can view more on Nathalie at London Music Teachers; musicteachers.co.uk, and Singing Teachers.
Step Up now has a Youtube account featuring some of the acts that are part of Step Up Management. The footage is from the many performances that the performers do in various venues around London.
